16 cents per MB on AT&T 3G network in the USA

Dear Fellow ITWers,

Soon you will be Chicago bound for ITW 2013.

ITW is time to meet with clients, make new friends and to clinch good deals.

A time of high expectation, great competition and some surprises.

A surprise you don’t need is the high cost of Internet access that you need to stay connected while mobile roaming in the USA.

Depending on your country of residence, your home country MNO could be charging you anything from $3 to $20 per MB of data transfer.

We have all heard of horror story of huge expense due to data service used with Blackberry, iPhone, Android Smartphones, iPAD and other Tablets after a short trip in the USA

To avoid such damages, you need to have a PiFi equipped with PiFiSIM and do your on-line activities in the PiFiZone

In the PiFiZone, you pay US$0.16 per MB for a broadband data service operating on AT&T 3G network

It is Anytime, No Contract, Pay-As-You-Go service.

It gets better, when you download PiFiDialer for use in your iPhone and Android SmartPhone and make voice call over PiFiVoice service

The cost per minute of a voice call to any country from the USA = US$0.04 (for transport of 250 KB of data per minute of VoIP minute) + typical End User Rate for VoIP Call to the country’s dialcode.

Please view complete presentation at www.pifizone.com

You can see that the PiFi Proposition is good for most countries where you want to visit.

You get to enjoy US$0.12 per MB in UK or US$0.70 – US$0.90 per MB in any country in Europe

You can buy PiFi, PiFiSIM, Data Recharge and PiFiVoice Recharge on line at www.pifizone.com and pick up the PiFi+PiFiSIM Package at our Stand No. 1444 in ITW 2013 on May 13, 2013

Or write to us to sales@ecocarrier.com about your requirement

This is an offer you can really use !

Take advantage of it !

Press Release

Ecocarrier Inc. www.ecocarrier.com at ITEXPO East 2013

Stand No. 617

Caption: IntelliDR Network – an Intelligent Network for Direct Routes for Call Termination

Ecocarrier will introduce at ITEXPO East 2013 their IntelliDR Network and invite suitably positioned individual entrepreneurs or corporations in various target countries to join the managed network as strategic partners.

Today IntelliDR Network has points of presence (PoP) in some 15 countries including Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Morocco, Libya, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Sudan and carries in excess of 25 million minutes of call traffic monthly for call termination on the direct routes for wholesale carrier service.

IntelliDR Networks is growing rapidly both in capacity for handling increasingly larger volume of call traffic and greater coverage countries.

Great prospects exist for building Direct Routes in Africa, Caribbean countries, Central America and Oceania.

Ecocarrier will undertake to build the Direct Routes, managed the PoP and direct wholesale call traffic to the PoPs for call termination. The strategic partner needs only to carry out a routine set of duties to maintain the PoP and profits from the operation of IntelliDR Network as a business enterprise in providing low-cost, high quality, reliable call termination service for wholes carrier service .

Investment required is minimal as IntelliDR Network is designed to operate as part of an established private cloud computing network in a managed service model. The PoP consists of an IntelliDR gateway connected to the Internet and the local mobile network in the country of operation.

IntelliDR Network is implemented with powerful features for intelligent call switching and call routing in the most effective and efficient manner.

It is a solution designed to achieve the most economical way of doing direct route operation.

It is a strategic alliance between suitably qualified parties and Ecocarrier in:

building the PoPs for call termination by direct routes in select countries with local personnel

managing the operation of the PoPs with the intelligent interaction between the VoIP/GSM Gateways and the SIM Bank and Policy Server in a cloud computing P-a-a-S service model to ensure the highest level of reliability and service quality

exploiting the available capacity for call termination of the PoPs with effective placement of wholesale carrier call traffic through Ecocarrier’s service platform; Ecocarrier can effectively market, sell and use up the capacity to ensure a profitable operation of the individual PoP.

IntelliDR Network can be built modularly with the following modules for progressively more functionality and greater performance and capacity

IntelliDR VoIP/GSM Gateway which is managed with Policy Server that works in tandem with Ecocarrier’s service platform that is able to handle wholesale carrier service traffic directed at/to it (service platform) from various sources such that it can effectively prevent the hacker/ spammer attack traffic from reaching the PoPs.

IntelliDR SIM Bank & SIM Server that interoperate with IntelliDR VoIP/GSM and Ecocarrier Service Platform to enable and allow for

Intelligent channel SIM selection

Intelligent GSM channel selection / IMEI management for making the call to the dialed Destination Number locally in the country.

IntelliDR Bandwidth Saver that interoperates with IntelliDR VoIP/GSM Gateway, the local ISP providing bandwidth to the IntelliDR VoIP/GSM Gateway and Ecocarrier Service Platform to do transmission with special encrypted codec and bytes/bandwidth saving algorithm to reduce the bandwidth requirement by some 50% – resulting in a huge saving in the fixed cost that is paid for ISP service.

Ecocarrier www.ecocarrier.com is a carrier and facilities-based service provider of managed services for voice, text and data communications and a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) offering low-cost GSM roaming services to MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) and their resellers in worldwide markets.

Special Thanks to Technology Marketing Network www.tmcnet.com for interviewing our president Carl Teo of EcoCarrier Inc.

We will be attending the ITEXPO in Miami between Jan 30 – Feb 2, 2013 http://itexpo.tmcnet.com/east13/

1. What is the most significant technology trend impacting the way businesses conduct operations today?
[CT] It is Mobile Connectedness and its increasingly ubiquitous availability. Technology and network facility becoming available for use in an ever more extensive reach and coverage ; reach into all manners of business activities and all kinds of business operations and country and geographical coverage.

2. How is cloud computing changing the way you operate your business?
[CT] Cloud computing makes things affordable for all business. You can now avail yourself of the most power suite of software for professional graphic and video creation for use in your MAC for as little cost as $30 a month service fee in a cloud computing service model.

3. Have security concerns around cloud computing been effectively addressed by the market, or is security still impediment to adoption?
[CT] Reasonable level of security is available with cloud computing. Building better security is an evolving process that involves the participation of hackers to stress-test the security in place for use. I don’t think it is an impediment to the adoption of cloud computing-based services by the user public.

4. How has the unprecedented growth of social media changed the way you manage your customers?
[CT] In many ways, it has to do with “What’s the best way to reach out to your customers ?” We have to be with it in order to keep up with the competitions and the new players in our space.

5. “Customer Experience” has become buzzword and 2013 may well become characterized as the Year of Customer Experience. What is your business doing to improve your customers’ experiences?
[CT] Mainly through social media and the blogosphere.

6. Keeping in mind that BYOD is now pervasive and no longer a phenomenon, will BYOD heavily influence your business in 2013 (whether from a security, policy or device or app management perspective) or have we moved beyond BYOD?

[CT] No it would not. We would encourage BYOD as all our services are offered in a managed service model. We try not to have to handle any hardware device. Today it is reasonable to expect that most, if not all, the hardware devices in the market are reasonably well built and made in compliance to industry specifications and protocols.

7. BYOS – Bring Your Own Storage (or rather, Bring Your Own Cloud-based Storage) – and dealing with it may, in fact, now be the new major issue most enterprises and solutions providers need to deal with. Is your company prepared to deal with it, either at the carrier level or through independent vendors?
[CT] As a managed service provider offering all services on-line, all storage of data relative to the relationships and transactions that we have with our clients are available in storage on line and on demand by our clients in our web-servers.

8. Should enterprises look to pre-empt BYOS issues by moving to carefully controlled cloud storage in 2013?

[CT] This is what we do in effect as ours is very much a private cloud-based operation. (see 7.)

9. Unified Communications and VoIP have moved beyond the early adopter phase into the mainstream. What significant issues still remain that businesses must contend with as they determine when and how to migrate to IP-based communications?
[CT] In the case of the large companies, it’s cash flow. In the case of small business it is lack of knowledge, in-house expertise and cash flow.

10. Will 2013 be the year the laptop dies? Why or why not?
[CT] It does look likely that laptops will go into the history book sooner or later but may be not in 2013.

11. What impact will Widows 8 have on the mobile market? Can it be a real competitor to iOS and Android? Where does RIM fit into the landscape?
[CT] With Microsoft’s clout in distribution, Windows 8 may still be able to gain a significant share of the market. RIM’s prospects are confined to some countries where they have already a large customer base.

12. Will 2013 finally bring widespread video communications adoption? Why?

[CT] Because all the tools are readily available at affordable prices including cloud-based-offer pricing and you can now engage reasonably good people to do video creation and production for a small expense.

13. What is the most disruptive technology that will hit mainstream markets this year and why?
[CT] 3-D Printer. People are now even working on printer that will print human body parts for use in human transplants.

14. What is the one misconception you would like to see set straight in the technology markets?
[CT] The misconception: “ Money is the root of all evils”.
It should be “The love of money is the root of all evils”
One should read the book “How Much is Enough?” by Skidelsky, Robert Jacob Alexander

15. What are you most looking forward to at ITEXPO Miami 2013?
{CT} We look forward to meeting suitably-positioned individuals or corporations to discuss the opportunities and benefits our various business propositions, notably:

(A) IntelliDR Network
Ecocarrier www.ecocarrier.com will introduce at ITEXPO East 2013 their IntelliDR Network and invite suitably positioned individual entrepreneurs or corporations in various target countries to join the managed network as strategic partners.

IntelliDR Network is implemented with powerful features for intelligent call switching and call routing in the most effective and efficient manner.

It is to achieve the most economical way of doing direct route operation.

It is a strategic alliance between/among suitably qualified/positioned parties and Ecocarrier in

• building the PoPs for call termination by direct routes in select countries with local personnel
• managing the operation of the PoPs with the intelligent interaction between the VoIP/GSM Gateways and the SIM Bank and Policy Server in a cloud computing P-a-a-S service model to ensure the highest level of reliability and service quality
• exploiting the available capacity for call termination of the PoPs with effective placement of wholesale carrier call traffic through Ecocarrier’s service platform; Ecocarrier can effectively market, sell and use up the capacity to ensure a profitable operation of the individual PoP.

IntelliDR Network can be built modularly with the following modules for progressively more functionality and greater performance and capacity
• IntelliDR VoIP/GSM Gateway which is managed with Policy Server that works in tandem with Ecocarrier’s service platform that is able to handle wholesale carrier service traffic directed at/to it (service platform) from various sources such that it can effectively prevent the hacker/ spammer attack traffic from reaching the PoPs.

• IntelliDR SIM Bank & SIM Server that interoperate with IntelliDR VoIP/GSM and Ecocarrier Service Platform to enable and allow for
o Intelligent channel SIM selection
o Intelligent GSM channel selection / IMEI management for making the call to the dialed Destination Number locally in the country.

• IntelliDR Bandwidth Saver that interoperates with IntelliDR VoIP/GSM Gateway, the local ISP providing bandwidth to the IntelliDR VoIP/GSM Gateway and Ecocarrier Service Platform to do transmission with special encrypted codec and bytes/bandwidth saving algorithm to reduce the bandwidth requirement by some 50% – resulting in a huge saving in the fixed cost that is paid for ISP service.

(B) PiFi Proposition for greater mobile connectedness

Ecocarrier Inc will introduce at ITEXPO East 2013 their PiFi and PiFi Services that make mobile data services for WiFi enabled devices ubiquitous and affordable for all travelers and enable you to have the ultimate lowest-cost way of making international voice calls while mobile roaming with your Smartphone
.
PiFi is a compact, elegant, wireless device installed with a SIM.

It is a dedicated device designed to provide WiFi to Internet connectivity to your mobile devices anywhere in a 3G network.

It gives you Personal WiFiHotzone at the press of a button anywhere in 3G network; you get secured connection with greater bandwidth availability at a very affordable price.

PiFi is part of an ensemble of products and services that together make a compelling great value propostion. The others are PiFiSIM, PiFiDialer and PiFiVoice.

With select PiFiSIM , users visiting USA can enjoy roaming data service for as little as US$0.16 per MegaByte on at&t network in a pay-as-you-go billing model without contract which is significantly less than 3 cents per KiloByte (as much as US$30 per MegaByte) that is normally the rate charged for roaming data service to a visiting/roaming data device

People visiting the Caribbeans and Central America, Costa Rica in particular, with PiFiSIM service they can enjoy a data service priced at US$1.40 per MegaByte of data transfer on Digicel 3G network.

PiFiSIM is a data SIM specially designed for use with PiFi to provide PiFi with the best data service for connection to the Internet through the 2,5G,3G and 3.5G mobile network of mobile network operators in various countries worldwide.

PiFiDialer is a dialer app for use with Smartphone or PC/Laptops to make telephone calls by IP telephony protocol.

PiFiVoice is the call termination service that carries a call made with PiFiDialer to the dialed destination and connects an incoming call, that is dialed to the PiFiDID Number of the PiFiDialer, to the PiFiDialer to enable a telephone conversation in either case.

Users of PiFi and PiFi Services can take advantage of the great savings that can be derived with/from the services for making international calls while connected to the home country mobile network and for data service and international voice calls when mobile roaming abroad outside their home country mobile networks .

PiFi and relative products and services are available online at www.pifizone.com.

We seek distributors and resellers for PiFi Products and Services in countries worldwide to supply to the products and services of the travelers and globetrotters.

PiFiZone which offers PiFi and supporting PiFi Services has launched on Indiegogo. More details can be found on the PiFiZone crowdfunding page:

http://www.indiegogo.com/pifi-zone

Today Ecocarrier launches their crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for www.pifizone.com that is a launching a group of products and services that make mobile data services for WiFi-enabled devices ubiquitous and affordable for all travelers as well as making international voice calls dialed from Smartphones by IP telephony from anywhere to be at the ultimate lowest cost to users.

It is a comprehensive service provision that is the result of an intelligent integration of:

PiFi – a 3G Router and WiFi Generator that produces a Personal WiFi Hotzone

PiFiSIM – a selection of specially designed mobile roaming data SIM and
service oering extremely low-priced data service with Internet

PiFiDialer – a Mobile Dialer for use with iOS, Android, Windows in iPhones,
Smartphones, iPADs, Tablets, PC and Laptops

PiFiVoice – a high-quality best value call termination service for IP telephony

It is a wholesome service that one can use to achieve the optimum savings in
data and voice communications with the greatest facility.

The services are ubiquitous (anywhere with 3G), convenient, safe and aordable. All designed to enable one to be more connected.

In the crowd funding campaign, funders are asked to pledge various amounts – US$5, US$25, US$99, US$115, US$175, US$185, US$320, US$750, US$1575, US$10,000 – in support for the proposed purpose of the funding. For pledge amounts greater than US$25, each funder actually would get a PiFi unit, PiFiSIM and discount privileges on PiFi Services that amount to greater value than the amount of the pledge.

Pledge of US$1575 and pledge of US$10,000 would give the funder authorized reseller status and a start-up inventory of PiFi and PiFiSIM and PiFi Services at a special large discount applicable to authorized resellers.

It is really a win-win proposition.

The crowdfunding campaign is deemed as the most ecient way for a small company with great value proposition of products, solutions and services to achieve the following:

(a) a quick and least expensive way to get funding without diluting the equity of the corporation

(b) a great way to get publicity for the corporation’s products and services

(c) an excellent way to build a distribution network

The Management of Ecocarrier is enthused with the prospects of achieving the above-stated objectives through the crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.

In “Call Party A and then Call Party B and then Connect the 2 Parties” mode of operation, the Party A may be the telephone number of a local fixed line telephone (as in the case of a hotel room phone) or a local SIM in a dual-SIM mobile handset and the Party B is the Destination Number(i.e. the telephone number of the party to be called). Note that receiving a call with a local SIM in most countries isFREE and receiving calls with a fixed line telephone is FREE in all countries. In using thie mode of operation, the user can avoid paying Mobile Termination Charge when roaming in MNO network that imposes a Mobile Termination Charge.

Airtime Credit Transfer Service is fast becoming popular among the migrant and expatriate communities in industrialized countries for one to send a small gift (usually $5 to $10) of love or care to loved ones back home in old country in the form of an Airtime Credit Amount to the recipient’s mobile number account. The recipient is notified of the credit amount by the mobile operator the instant when it arrives and he/she can use it to call the sender or anyone else.

This way of gifting is immediate and gives instant gratification.

This TopUp360 Gift-to-Call ™ Service also has the advantage of achieving savings of 50% or greater. For instance, a call from Haiti to USA or Canada costs less than 50% of what it costs to call from USA/Canada to Haiti. The same is true with Guatemala and Jamaica and many other countries.

TopUp360 have made a good thing better. They have introduced a Prepaid Card for Airtime Credit Transfer Service named Gift-to-Call Card™ that is available in $5, $10 and $15 version.

PIN holder can register at www.topup360.comas user and get account information and do credit top-up and purchases on line.
