RoamFone Rental Service caters to the needs of GSM mobile users when they travel abroad away from the home country mobile network in any of some 200 countries for a convenient, reliable, high quality, affordable, low-cost way of making and receiving telephone calls
RoamFone Rental Service addresses a market niche in ways that result in great benefits to all parties concerned: the End User (Service Subscriber), the Travel Agent, the Master Travel Agent and the Service Provider (Ecocarrier); there is sufficient profit margin to allow for a fair and attractive sharing of the profits in the food chain.
The over all profit margin for the resellers (Master Travel Agent and the Travel Agent) ranges from 35% – 50% of the prices/rates paid by the End Users which are some 55% – 85% lower than the rates charged by the MNO (Mobile Network Operator) for roaming calls.

(a)Complete on-line operation that requires little or no special training/learning on the part of the Travel Agent. www.roamfonerental.com enables all the operations covering opening a rental contract, invoicing, credit top up, final billing, closing of a rental contract and payment processing etc. to be performed on-line by the Travel Agent by making keystrokes into the Roamfone Rental Program software. All the Travel Agent needs is the ability to operate a browser on line in an intuitive manner.
(b)Complete Management Facility is available to the Master Travel and/or the Master Reseller on line for obtaining Call Data, Billing Data, Account Information in a highly efficient manner for administration and management purposes.
(c)No investment in system hardware and little investment in RoamFone (depending on the business arrangement between Ecocarrier and the Travel Agent). Ordinarily, the Travel Agent needs only to have the use a PC installed with a browser (Internet Explorer).Where required, Ecocarrier offers API to the Master Travel Agent for integration of the Calls Data, Billing Data and Account Information etc. with the Master Travel Agent/Reseller’ own accounting data base.

(a)RoamFone Rental Service is equipped with SuperSIM card and SuperSIM service. SuperSIM is a 3G (64K) Multi-IMSI-SIM that has embedded in it profiles of multiple MNO. The SIM automatically switches the appropriate profiles for use when it is roaming in a certain country.
(b)SuperSIM is supported by GSM roaming agreement with more than 500 GSM operators in some 200 countries covering all the countries where one would want to visit for business or leisure. There is no need to change SIM when roaming in any of the MNO networks and the connection to the MNO is automatically made in any of the 200 countries.

SuperSIM works with USSD signaling for triggering a “Call Party A and then Call Party B and then Connect the 2 Parties” operation for call making a call.The Connection or bridging of the 2 legs of a Call is made in Ecocarrier’s Service Platform to enable a telephone conversation.
In “Call Party A and then Call Party B and then Connect the 2 Parties” mode of operation, the Party A may be the telephone number of a local fixed line telephone (as in the case of a hotel room phone) or a local SIM in a dual-SIM mobile handset and the Party B is the Destination Number(i.e. the telephone number of the party to be called). Note that receiving a call with a local SIM in most countries isFREE and receiving calls with a fixed line telephone is FREE in all countries.In using thie mode of operation, the user can avoid paying Mobile Termination Charge when roaming in MNO network that imposes a Mobile Termination Charge.

In the case of making call in a hotel room , the dialing format is

Upon receiving the signaling, Ecocarrier SuperSIM Service Platform will call the hotel telephone no. and when the hotel telephone operator answers the call, the Service Platform will voice the following call routing request:
“ Please connect this call to < hotel room no. > for < name of the user > “
Note that the name of the user is pre-recorded and stored in the Service Platform, whereas the hotel room no. may vary according to the ‘values entered in the trigger message

This facility is a great cost savings feature because ordinarily making calls from a hotel room telephone is expensive even for local call in most countries.
(f)Alias Telephone Number toMSISDN (the regular mobile number of the SIM)
Alias telephone number can be assigned to the SuperSIM in the RoamFone to suit the country of operation of the Travel Agent.
The Alias telephone number is a DID (Direct Inward Dial) number of the local telephone exchange.
Before the user travels abroad to a country where receiving an incoming call to the SuperSIM is FREE or at low cost, he/she will arrange to forward all calls dialed to his/her fixed line telephone number and local mobile number to this Alias.
DID Numbers for such Alias application are available for some 500 cities of 65 countries.
Each Alias Telephone Number is quarantined for a period of 30 days after each rental contract to a rental customer before being put back into the pool of available DID Numbers for use by RoamFone Rental Service.
